Got a call from a Kerry supporter and he asked me "can we count on your vote for Kerry on election day?" and I told him "No, you can't". And he replied with"Oh, you are a Bush supporter?". To which I replied "No, I'm not. I am not voting for either Bush or Kerry". And he said "Oh! Well it seems that half the country is on the fence this election".
I hung up the phone and said to my husband -
"I am not on the fence. I don't want either candidate for my president".

I'll be glad when this election is over I'll say that...Sure has divided everyone this time around. As much as I dislike Kerry, Kerry the president will be different from Kerry the candidate. I'm hoping the usual give and take of national politics forces him more to the center if elected.
